The tangerine is a fruit similar to the orange, but smaller and flattened by its base. Its bark is smooth, bright orange-red in color and is very easy to peel, even with your hands. Tangerine is mainly consumed as fresh fruit, although canned mandarin segments are also known.
It is the citrus fruit most similar to orange, although smaller, more aromatic and easier to remove the skin in most varieties, as well as slightly lower acidity and a higher proportion of simple sugars. These properties make it considered a natural candy of easy consumption for young and old. Tangerine is very good for its vitamins A and C.
